The Secret Garden has been almost completely funded by Wendy Whiteley, since she began creating it some 30 years ago. This greatly loved, internationally famous garden is unique for the fascinating way Wendy created it like a giant painting, a living artwork.
This treasured public garden needs continuous meticulous care, by a dedicated team of skilled gardeners.
Now aged 82, Wendy is anxious that the Secret Garden lives on in perpetuity, for everyone’s enjoyment and inspiration.
The Wendy Whiteley Secret Garden Trust was established to help ensure Wendy’s work continues. Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden has received Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) endorsement. Any donations made to the garden are tax deductible and will be issued a tax receipt.
As the Garden’s lease holder, North Sydney Council is responsible for collecting donations and issuing receipts.
